Our Curriculum

Modderfontein Academy is a multi-phase private academy that offers individualised learning, based on an in-depth and personal understanding of each learner's unique needs.

Our curriculum leans towards a blended British International and CAPS approach, along with spheres of art, sports and culture. We also offer a GED qualification (American High School Equivalency Certificate) in our Senior Stage. We strive to provide the perfect balance for our students by creating a multitude of levels in their every-day lives to keep them happy, engaged and growing in all directions.

Our Stages / Age Structure

Modderfontein Academy is a multi-phase school that educates and nurtures students through their entire school carreer.

Our age groups are broken down as follows:

FOUNDATION STAGE

Our youngest group, students at the beginning of their school career (Grade 0 to 3). This stage is focused on shaping their fundamental skill set & laying a solid foundation.

INTERMEDIATE STAGE

The second youngest age group, consisting of kids from Grade 4 - 6 age range. Students put their foundation skills into practice as new concepts are introduced.

MIDDLE STAGE

Our Middle Stage group is comprised of 'tweens'/pre-teens (Grade 7 - 9). More sophisticated skills are introduced as we prepare the students for the Senior phase.

SENIOR STAGE

The Senior Stage is for our teens (IGCSE/AS/GED/Matric) and forms a critical part of their academic carreer. We prep our seniors for ultimate success as adults.
